Tips for ordering and shipping wine:

·        Ground Shipping rates for wine tend to depend on the size of the package rather than the weight.  This means the best shipping value per bottle seems to be at the 3, 6, and 12 bottle quantities.  For example:

o   the shipping cost for 3 bottles is not much more than for shipping 1 bottle. 

o   The shipping cost for 6 bottles is not much more than 4 bottles.

o   The shipping cost for 12 bottles is not much more than 7 bottles.

·        An adult signature is required for delivery.  If shipping to your home is not convenient for this, you may ship it to an address where another adult is home to accept delivery, or you may be able to ship to a nearby UPS Store where you may pick it up.  Please Check that your Local UPS Store accepts delivery of alcohol.

·        If you have a day of the week when you want us to try to have the wine delivered, let us know and we will TRY to ship so that it arrives around that day.  For example:

o   Since we are located very close to a UPS Terminal, our UPS Ground Shipments to addresses in Ohio generally arrive 1 day after shipment.  Shipments 1 State away, about 2 days, etc.

o   For addresses 2 or more states away, it is a little trickier!

·        We normally like to ship on Mondays or Tuesdays so the wine doesn’t spend the weekend someplace where the temperature might not be good for wine before it gets delivered.  For long distance orders, we normally like to ship on Fridays so the wine can start traveling across the country over the weekend to be delivered earlier the following week.

·        UPS will attempt delivery 3 times.  After that, UPS will hold it for pick-up for 4 days. At the end of 4 days, the shipment will be returned with return shipping charges applied to the order.
